The Embassy is a designated Green Frontline Mission working to promote climate engagement with the AU and Ethiopian partners. Our work on climate diplomacy is spearheaded with two Strategic Sector Cooperation’s (SSC), in the energy and water sector, enabling technical capacity development between Danish Public Authorities and their Ethiopian counterparts, in the areas of renewable energy and sustainable water supply. The Embassy is also supporting the Kafa biosphere through the Climate Resilient Forest Livelihoods programme, as well as the UNICEF WASH programme in Ethiopia. The Embassy further supports private sector engagement, including consortiums under P4G and Danida Green Business Partnerships, infrastructure finance under the Danida Sustainable Infrastructure Finance and commercial advisory of Danish companies through the Trade Council.
